Though these pots are sturdy and will endure a dishwasher or microwave, the pots should be stored dry and avoid drastic, rapid changes in temperature. Specialized clay bodies are produced to resist the shattering of heart and pot that accompanies thermal shock, but those clays are reserved for bakeware dishes.
